💡 This page contains everything I have learnt about Common Alerting Protocol (CAP).

Standard protocol for dissemination of information on weather events. It is structured both for human and machine consumption. It is XML-based.
The CAP however, does not seem to be in the format I expected. It only contains the components necessary for human consumption. The weather alert as text and nothing else. Anything else like polygons and severity is not present. Perhaps there is something I am missing?
Yes I was missing something. First we have an RSS feed that gives out CAP alerts and each item in there is a CAP alert. The link in each item takes you to the specific CAP alert. In there, you find all the details about the CAP alert like the location and severity.
